Production Planner – Leuven (B)

Summary

To support the production process and timely delivery products towards our customers, we are looking for a colleague to lead the planning and ordering process in our manufacturing lines. The position is open for our headquarters in Leuven, Belgium.

Responsibilities

• Own the full planning of production from sales order intake towards customer shipments and communicate status to stakeholders and follow-up with suppliers.
• Translation of sales orders into material orders and workorders for manufacturing, while considering production yield and keeping inventory levels to acceptable levels.
• Project forecasts into capacity requirements and creating budget requirements for OPEX and CAPEX meeting the business growth requirements.
• Monitoring of production cost within budget and propose ways to minimize production waste and reducing cycle time.
• Scheduling and tracking of orders in ERP.
• Follow-up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and reporting to upper management.

Requirements

• Education level: Bachelor’s degree in business management, logistics and supplychain management, or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years experience in production environment and quality control.
• Strong analytical and time-management skills.
• Experience in planning and scheduling software.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels inside the organization and interfacing with external partners.

• Experience in a manufacturing environment meeting daily production targets, preferable within high tech industry.
• Scripting languages to automatically import and export reports from and to suppliers.
• Material management during new product introductions and production ramp.
• Proficiency with working with Sales Force and ERP systems NetSuite, SAP, Oracle,.
• Experience working in an international environment and working with remote suppliers.
