Junior Characterization Engineer

Summary

You have expertise in RF circuit measurement and validation as well as software automation for characterization. You will work closely with RFIC designers, module designers and system level experts in a truly multi-disciplinary team. You lead the measurement activities as a project and drive planning and execution towards ambitious milestones.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Characterization Engineer to

• Contribute to the success of measurement campaigns,
• Work in a team, efficiently supporting colleagues,
• Contribute to the organization and development of the software infrastructure,
• Maintain lab tidiness and organization,
• Support software development for the lab automation and postprocessing,
• Review and safeguard quality of measurement setups in the framework of validation and characterization campaigns.

Requirements

The ideal candidate has a first experience with a multidisciplinary approach to electronic system measurement, validation and characterization and knowledge of lab equipment, measurement setup design.

Following requirements are a must, candidates must tick all boxes to be considered:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar experience,
• Hands-on experience in lab measurement and automation,
• Experience in (RF)IC silicon debug, validation and characterization,
  • experience with software development (e.g., Matlab, Python, …);
• Attention to detail and problem-solving approach;
• Understanding of PCB design, production, assembly and testing flow
• Strong organizational skills

Following qualifications will make you stand out:

• Experience in millimeter-wave circuit measurement,
• Experience in validation of beamforming systems,
• Experience managing lab inventory,
• Industry experience, bringing products into production.
